Background:
--> eye thing? [ ok but what if the eye thing is just bc alex was curious/some sort of stupid dare thing OR alex could help him after eye thing bc scientific curiosity ok ]
‣ Scouted to an ivy league university and attended much the same way he did in his past schooling, with the exception of classes focused on research.
‣ Lived in the lab and produced good results which made up for his otherwise antisocial behavior w/ classmates and professors.
‣ Joined top medical research company after graduating for the opportunity to pursue his research. Plays within the rules here mainly, but gets a lot of leeway.
‣ Moved to recolle for OPPORTUNITY (idk will elaborate later)
‣ On the side provides medical services for the underworld, mainly because there is even less red tape here and he's free to practice 100% as he sees fit.
Personality:
‣ Knows how he should act in society but normally doesn't bother. Doesn't mean he can't put on a face when he has to, such as presenting at a science conference. Might also do something nice just for the hell of it, don't expect it to last or be frequent.
‣ On the other hand he doesn't understand guilt/empathize with most people.
‣ Somewhat self-indulgent, but more of a "does whatever the hell he wants" even if its at the cost of others. Namely this comes out through smoking, but will also drop money on whatever. Likely the type who would walk into a club and spend top money for the best dancer in the place, but not actually want them to do anything.
‣ Manner of speech is generally smoother than !Zeus but he doesn't mind using expletives either.
‣ Dresses put together because his appearance matters to him; mix of vanity + presentation matters. (Accounting for the variables you can is important OK).
‣ Driven equally by a curiosity to understand and analyze as well as being tremendously selfish. Most people don't fit this bill as they're predictable, but he is willing to talk to those he wouldn't normally if he's bored enough.
‣ Morals are for those who care about breaking them.
‣ Tends to get along with those who can tolerate his brash, blunt, personality which means he generally associates those his colleagues would turn their noses up at.
‣ While he doesn't want to destroy the system/society, he would welcome the chance to see it happen/foster it along as the results would be fascinating.
‣ All of the above is mostly thrown out the window when it comes to family where he's capable of acting somewhat non-selfishly. Ride or die here.
*** Notes to myself: Essentially !AUAlex is the thing he hates the most about humans, about how selfish they are + how willing they are to sacrifice each other for personal gain. I like to make my muses suffer, what can I say he'll be completely infuriated and even more angry \o\.
Need to pick a specific science field, genetics makes less sense so probably something to do with cell proliferation/healing, still ties into the Virus but more opportunity for CR.
grades 8-12 = age 13- 18. Afterwards will go to college and get his MD from Columbia University.
military academy lets me tie in how much he hated this place + hates the military which fits into prototype lore.

Managed to gain admittance to New York Military Academy through a scholarship and attended Grades 8-12. As this was an all boys school, he was completely on his own at this point. Target of bullying both because of his scholary interests, general anti-social nature, and his low social class compared to the rest of the boys.
TO ADD --> Discuss roommate situation w/ Takasgui, eye thing, + bonding thing. Will also learn how to fight here w/ his help \o\. And shoot guns, fencing isn't on their website currently but tell me they didn't have it at some point plz.
